Profile of:

Suzanne Arends

Suzanne Arends is a clinical epidemiologist with main interest in clinical/translational research on disease activity, disease outcome and effect of treatment in rheumatic IMIDs including axSpA. Together with Anneke Spoorenberg, I am coordinator of the Groningen Leeuwarden Axial Spondyloarthritis (GLAS) cohort, a large prospective observational cohort study (n=900) with focus on long-term outcome of symptoms, bone formation and bone loss in axial SpA. Furthermore, I am leading the Y-ASAS collaborative mSQUASH project.
