ASAS in collaboration with SPARTAN and GRAPPA has developed an educational symposium on axial spondyloarthritis and psoriatic arthritis, an online event that which will take place on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, 4:00 – 7:00 PM Eastern Standard Time

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:
• Identify salient research articles published during the last year in the field of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA).
• Discuss current concepts of classification/diagnosis, pathogenesis and treatment in Psoriatic Arthritis
• To understand current research evidence about optimal imaging approach to and interpretation of sacroiliac joint imaging

ASAS course Brussels, new date confirmed: 12th-13th March 2021.


The ASAS EC and Course faculty would like to announce that the next ASAS course will take place on March 12-13th 2021 in Brussels. ASAS will continue to monitor possible travelling restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will make further announcements as required. Delegates registered in the cancelled 2020 course will be contacted and preference given to those individuals who made full payment.

ASAS Core Course, 13th-14th March 2020, Brussels, Belgium


ASAS is happy to announce its inaugural ASAS Core Course which will take place 13th-14th March 2020 in Brussels, Belgium.


This will be a high quality educational event to support rheumatology professionals' continuing professional development. The ASAS Core Course will cover different aspects of the diagnosis and management of axial spondyloarthritis and is aimed to rheumatology consultants and trainees looking to upskill or consolidate their knowledge in this disease area.

The ASAS Core Course is facilitated by leading expert specialists, using a combination of educational lectures, interactive imaging sessions and practical workshops to fulfil your professional development needs in spondyloarthritis.


The preliminary programme is shown below.


The number of participants will be limited to 50. There is a registration fee of 200€. This registration fee will cover participation in the course, hotel accommodation from March 13th to March 14th and full catering during the course. You will be responsible for organizing your own travel. Rheumatology trainees or research fellows may benefit from a reduced fee of 100€, submission of a letter of support from their Head of Department or supervisor confirming their trainee status is required after completion of the registration form.

Those who completed the registration form will receive a letter from the ASAS administrative office either confirming your provisional registration and including payment information (first 50) or confirming the waiting list status.

Provisionally registered participants should pay the registration fee - this is a prerequisite for the final confirmation of the course registration. The fee will cover participation in the course, one night accommodation and meals during the course. Once the registration is finally confirmed, you can make your own travel arrangements to come to Brussels on-time.


The ASAS Core Course, Brussels, Belgium, 13/03/2020-14/03/2020 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 9 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity
