Mariana Ivanova
Dr. Mariana Ivanova, MD, PhD was graduated in medicine in 1993. She underwent specialty training in internal medicine and rheumatology. At present she is a Head of the Rheumatology Clinic of University Hospital “St. Ivan Rilski” and Professor in the Department of Internal medicine of Medical Faculty, Medical University - Sofia, Bulgaria. She has completed her PhD degree in 2013, based on research in the field of ankylosing spondylitis. Since Nov. 2019 she is a full member of the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society (ASAS) group. Dr. M. Ivanova has published research on molecular biological, immunological and clinical studies in radiographic axial spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus, evaluation of cardiovascular risk in gout and serum biomarkers in knee osteoarthritis.
